Help Frankie
Frankie is a rescued pup. She desperately needs an operation to correct a birth defect in her liver.

Frankie was born with a curable birth defect known as a liver shunt. Her owners made the decision to surrender her to their vet who contacted us immediately to ask if we could take Frankie on. We save dozens of animals annually, and we made the decision to help Frankie in a heart beat. Her condition is currently managed through a special diet, but even on the diet she still suffers nausea, lethargy, and stomach pain. The diet is only a stop gap measure as the operation is the only cure for her condition, and Veterinary Specialist Group are the only vets capable of carrying out the operation. The vets have estimated the total cost of her care as being approximately $5000. The vets have assured us that with an operation to correct the shunt she will live a normal, happy, healthy, long life. Please help Frankie live the wonderful, pain free life she deserves.

Frankie's Surgery 3 February 2016
I'm so pleased to tell you all that Frankie survived her surgery and is now recovering at home. There are no words to express how grateful we are for your kindness and generosity. When we first rescued Frankie we had no idea how we were going to get her her surgery and the goal seemed enormous, but thanks to the many wonderful people who saw her story and felt for her we were able to get her surgery within three months. You are all amazing people and you've made a huge difference in Frankie's life, thank you so, so much.

Hi, thank you so much for donating to help Frankie, that is so incredibly kind of you on Christmas. Thanks to all the wonderful donors we were able to call VSG to arrange Frankie's appointment but we are waiting on her surgeon to get back from his holiday before they can confirm a date, I think it will be late January or early February :) Have a wonderful day xx
