  • Gemma is Doing Well, thanks !

      26 April 2024

The fundraiser has closed now. The initial treatment of Beransa injections (about four months) seems to have made a real difference ! Although they have been stopped for now, and Gemma isn’t the running machine she used to be - (understandable given she is no spring chicken!} She is able to run again for a limited time each day without apparent pain or after effects. I haven’t observed her in the winter yet but pretty much she is happy and able to move around and play.

If you are interested in a portrait. Session, I can be contacted at www.AHP-studios.com and I will be putting aside 30 % from proceeds towards her and her son’s care. In the next month I will be applying for legal ownership in the next month.

Although with a different vet now, and we are intending to move into natural remedies, Gemma is thriving on the Beransa injections! I'm intending to raise at least six months's worth of injections. Her next one is on the 10th February. Can you help? 30% from the proceeds of my photography will go towards her and her son's welfare, but more on that later.

  • Happy New Year from Gemma!

    Dear Amazing Supporters,

Thank you for kickstarting Gemma's journey with your enthusiastic contributions! Your support has powered her recent transformations.

Gemma received two 'Beransa' injections, bringing newfound joy as she walks, free from spinal arthritis and cruciate ligament pain. Even a short daily run is now possible. And for the first time in her ladult life she wags her tail joyfully as she walks.

For that reason we decided to proceed without the surgery and go with the injections only.

However, sustaining Beransa treatment costs $170/month, beyond what I can handle alone. We're extending our Givealittle campaign, seeking more heroes to contribute and ensure Gemma's active and joyful life. Her next injection is due on January 10.

Can you help Gemma maintain her zest for life? Every contribution, big or small, matters. In gratitude, we'll share exclusive updates on Gemma's improved condition.

Let's keep Gemma's tail wagging and spirit soaring! Your support makes a difference.

Thank you for being part of Gemma's journey.

    With heartfelt gratitude,

    Alex and Gemma
