This page is set up to raise money for Jordan's family to help make this tough time a little easier for them.

Gisborne

On 02/01/2019 our friend Jordan Grace Matete (21) collapsed unexpectedly at her home from a heart condition. Following a coma, Jordan succumbed to her illness and passed away on 04/01/2019. The family rushed her brother home from the UK to be by her side when the machines keeping her alive were shut down. This page is set up to help the family recover some of the costs incurred, in doing so and the expense of her funeral. Jordan was a great daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend as well as an accomplished artist, having successfully completed her degree in Maori Visual Arts, specialising in photography. As her friends, we wish to minimise some of the burden of costs to her family at this difficult time. All funds will go directly to Jordan's parents.

Sophia Klinge's involvement (page creator)

For the last three years Jordan and I have been studying together and we have become very good mates over that period. Being by her and her family's side during this very sad time has made me want to raise some money for them to help her parents out.

Use of funds

These funds will be given to Jordan's parents as a koha, funds will be used to recover the costs of flights to get her brother home from the UK and to help cover some of the funeral costs.
