Helping Lacey the Siamese go to the Specialist for the right treatment.
Wellington
Hi All,
So we got Lacey as a kitten from one of my friends, she is a lovely wee soul and it has been hard at times with her not well. As a kitten she always had difficulty with food she ended vomiting any food back up. Couple of visits to the vet (in Palmerston North) didnt show up with anything and I assumed she would grow out of the sickness. She was always been a small cat, and the vomiting caused her to stress. We took her to our vet (we live in Lower Hutt) as the vomiting didnt stop and she was diagnosed with a large esophagus (its like it has it has a pouch in it) in which the vet thinks it has been created from a previous operation when a tube was inserted in her mouth. (Possibly when she was fixed as a kitten). We are hoping to get some assistance as shes on a special diet costing about $30 a week to feed. But also we need proof of the diagnosis and further treatment outside the vets practice, as the vet cannot assist further. This needs to be done by a specialist only this will cost abit for a referral but unsure of treatment/ongoing costs as she needs to go and visit first. I want closure on her diagnosis to give her the best life possible.
Purely on costs related to Lacey to get her sorted as my income doesnt cover the vet bills and debts gained from her health.
