Supporting Kasen, a young man living with stage 4 cancer, to make treasured memories and fulfil his dream of travelling to Tokyo.
Papakōwhai, Porirua
This page has been created to support, Kasen, and to help him experience life and joy while he is still well enough to do so.
Kasen has been diagnosed with stage 4 synovial sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. He has a tumour on his spine that is non‑operable, and heartbreakingly, the cancer has spread to his lungs. Kasen's family is now navigating an incredibly difficult and unexpected journey, focused on making the most of the time they have together.
While Kasen is feeling well, his biggest wish is to experience life to the fullest. One of his dreams is to travel to Tokyo, something he has talked about for a long time. We are so grateful that he will be travelling with his best friend on a trip booked for 16th June. This trip means the world to Kasen, not just as a holiday, but as a chance to make memories, feel freedom, and simply be a young person chasing a dream.
This is the second fundraising page that has been set up for Kasen, and it has been created specifically to help make this dream a reality while he is still well enough to go.
We are asking, with hopeful hearts, for any support you may be able to give to help make this trip possible. Every donation will go toward the costs of this journey and easing the financial pressure on our family during this time.
Whether you’re able to donate, share this page, or keep Kasen in your thoughts, we are deeply thankful. Your kindness and generosity mean more than we can ever express.
With love and gratitude,
Kasen has been my sons best friend since they were 5 years old starting school on the same time. Throughout this time Helen has become one of my closest friends.
The funds raised will be used to cover the costs of Kasen’s trip to Tokyo, including flights, accommodation, travel expenses and essential costs, so he can focus on making the most of his time, creating memories and sharing meaningful moments.
