Helping NZ Girls Face The Tough Stuff

2020 has been challenging for everyone, especially our young people. Speaker, dancer and motivator, Brylee Mills has a goal to reach 40 schools by the end of 2020 with a dedicated plan to talk to girls throughout Aotearoa about getting through the inevitable challenges and living an empowered life. Specifically the talks focus on overcoming challenges and navigating today’s hardships for young girls. Brylee lost her left arm in a car accident as a child but this has not defined her and her resilience and determination has resonated with both students and teachers at all the schools she has presented at so far.

Brylee brings her unique real life experiences to the schools which - mixed with being a young, confident communicator - enables Brylee to connect with girls authentically and effectively. Brylee offers an insight into navigating through life with the many challenges that she has faced and interprets these into tips and tools for the challenges these girls face today Sharing the skills and advice she has learnt from her journey as well as from other people she’s met along the way, Brylee leaves her audiences feeling empowered to face the challenges in their own lives.

Her story is relatable and relevant for girls today and she leaves the room not only feeling inspired but also equipped with a new set of usable skills to help them face life’s tough stuff.
