Our friend Joe Sandford is currently fighting for his life in Auckland City hospital following a serious car accident on Sunday 3 July.

Bay of Plenty

Joe Sandford is from the UK and was in New Zealand living his dream to play rugby and attend a rugby academy in Mt Maunganui. Tragically last Sunday morning 3 July, Joe was involved in a serious car accident in the Far North of New Zealand. This tragic accident has resulted in Joe sustaining life changing injuries.

This page has been set up to establish a fund for Joe's family to get through this very difficult time. This tragedy is every parents worst nightmare, an accident on the other side of the world, having to effectively uproot their lives to NZ, and the uncertainty of not knowing what is going to happen next.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Joe and his family.

I am involved as I am the Director of Inside Running Academy which is the rugby academy that Joe was attending prior to his accident. We wish to support the family and demonstrate how kiwis support people when they are in need.
