Please help Justine beat bowel cancer

$39,525 of $62,000 goal
Given by 124 generous donors in over a year

Please help Justine to pay for private chemotherapy needed to beat her progressive bowel cancer

Waikato

Justine is 48 years’ young, happily married with 3 lovely children aged 15 (Grace), 13 (Cameron) and 11 (Charlotte).

Out of the blue in August 2016, she was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer and since then she has been on a debilitating journey of surgery and chemotherapy and has been unable to work in her much-loved profession as an Early Childhood Teacher.

After 12 rounds of chemo, the cancer came back in Justine’s lymph nodes. She is now having 9 more rounds of chemo but her last CT scan showed that this chemo is not working. She has now exhausted all the treatment the public hospital can offer her but she has been offered a different chemotherapy treatment in the private sector. Unfortunately, this chemotherapy is very costly and she needs to find $30,000 to pay for 4 rounds of treatment.

This chemotherapy will provide Justine with hope that she will beat this cancer and get to live out her life in this beautiful world with her beloved family and friends. The more money we can raise, the more time Justine will have with her loved ones and the better her quality of life will be. Any amount will be greatly appreciated, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Use of funds

Funds raised will be used to pay for private chemotherapy treatment which is unavailable in the public system but which will help stop Justine's bowel cancer from spreading.

Update from Justine  26 May 2018

My oncologist told me that she thinks I will benefit from 4 more rounds of chemo, which will cost $22,000.00.

I have had some good results from my last scan and they said that there was some shrinkage and I start radiation soon to reduce and hopefully shrink a painful node.

I have changed hospitals and now go through to Rotorua as my oncologist has shifted there.

I have had 6 rounds so far of this drug and I am also keeping up with my vit C infusions and ozone too, all of which are helping heal me on the inside.

Thank you so much for your donations to help me continue my recovery journey.
