Riana (Leandre) urgently needs an MRI and ongoing support!

Riana has bravely been soldiering on, both at home and at work. However, due to the steady and continual deterioration of her condition, we took the liberty of booking a private MRI for her, and opted to take out a private loan ($1800) in good faith that we would be able to repay it from the proceeds of this page.

TRG imaging in Milford was amazing, and like a breath of fresh air in comparison to gettin a sneeze diagnosed in the public health system. Still to be analysed by the neurologist (public health), Riana's GP advised that the MRI points to a neurological disorder, Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension, which has started causing irreversible eye damage to her right eye. We are waiting to hear back from the neurologist about a suggested treatment plan, and the next step which will probably be an attempt to try and reduce the pressure on the brain.

Yesterday (Sunday) morning Riana collapsed at work and was rushed to hospital with a seizure, brought on by a coughing fit (she has recently acquired a nasty flu strain affecting her chest and breathing).

Once again, the public health system does not fail to un-impress.
