Riana (Leandre) urgently needs an MRI and ongoing support!

In recent years Riana (Leandre) has been getting increasingly painful and relentless headaches. Over the last three months the symptoms and intensity have drastically increased, presenting large palpable bulges and swelling at the back of her head. In attempts to address this, she has exhausted all her paid leave and sick leave. The health system has been presenting its own subset of challenges, and amidst doctors declaring her unfit for work until a conclusive diagnosis can be made, every procedure has a long waiting list extending weeks and months. Her work requires mental alertness, and emotional and physical stamina, none of which she has at the moment. She reads with great difficulty and, and balance and sight are deteriorating, so that even light duty is not even a realistic expectation. She does not qualify for any social welfare benefits and have no means of providing for her family unless she goes to work. As the primary breadwinner this financial stress is placing a huge burden on the family. Her condition is deteriorating and her circumstances becoming more dire by the day!

Will you PLEASE contribute towards:

-Raising $1800 to fund an urgent private MRI and colour test to identify the cause of the swelling on the brain; Hopefully this will enable the leading doctors to a swift and effective treatment plan. Urgency is key.

-Financial support to cover (or contribute towards) this family’s living and medical expenses of about $900 per week) with immediate effect until Riana can return to work;

My friend has always been quick to help others in need in any way she can, (even in places where others dare not go). Due to the nature of her work, she is a very private person with no close family and a limited few who really know the desperation of her situation . She is a proud woman who would never exploit, or take anyone for granted. She is the most straight-up, biggest-hearted person I have come to know, who would never spare herself to help others where she can. Now is the time she desperately needs to feel the love and support of the community she serves.
