Miss Alex

I am grandmother to the most amazing little girl who I adore and want to help her be the best she can be. She was born with Microtia and Atresia which means she has a little right ear and no ear canal on her right side. The surgeons in Australia and New Zealand won't operate to open her ear canal which will give her almost 100% hearing so my daughter, a single mum (through IVF), has made the big decision to take little miss Alex to the USA for groundbreaking surgery to open the canal and build her an ear drum. Unfortunately the surgery costs more than $55,000NZ and is not covered by any insurance, plus then airfares and a month's stay due to not being able to fly for several weeks after the operation.

I desperately want to help her do all the things she wants to do.... play sport, sing, jump, read, learn and laugh and HEAR like she should.
