Please help this wonderful woman BEAT breast cancer and light the way for others.
Bay of Plenty
My name is Donna and I am trying to save my wonderful partner, Marlene who has Stage 4 Breast Cancer.
24 years ago I met my soulmate and for 24 years I have had the great fortune to love and be loved by Marlene. Our world has been rocked a few times with serious illness over our life together but recently breast cancer came visiting a second time. This time, it has attacked her brain, spine, lungs and bone. She also lost an eye to this terrible disease.
My love, she is brave beyond words and determined to beat this. We do have hope and we do have a chance to beat this and to continue this life together that we cherish so much.
We have worked hard to beat the odds since her diagnosis in Aug 2016 but we have now been told that we need to try to look at private, alternative treatments to win the battle.
The treatments will cost around $90,000 and we desperately need help. If anyone can help us in any small way we will be forever grateful.
Once cured, we plan on helping others beat breast and other cancers by sharing acquired knowledge and providing support. We have certainly learned the challenges the hard way and we want to minimize the struggle for others.
Without each other we honestly have no purpose or reason for being. Please help me save my love.
Thank you for reading this. We have no expectations for help; We understand and respect that many people have their own challenges. Desperate times call for desperate measures so...here we are.
Add on:
Marlene has been an artist for a large portion of her life. Please see the FUNDRAISING sention of this campaign. There I have started to put up some of Marlene's artwork (Limited Edition, Signed Prints) which will be sent to you as a "thank you " for certain level donations. Marlene calls it her " Give A Little Back".
I am doing this because I am desperate to save the life of my partner, Marlene. We have been together 24 years and we are true soul mates.
We also want to find some answers that may help other woman with Stage 4 breast cancer and pay forward all we find that helps women and their families win the battle against this terrible disease.
Funding treatment currently only available through private pay.
I don't know how she does it. 24 September 2017
The last few weeks have involved getting ready for sterotactic radiation surgery to try to tackle this rogue brain tumor. There have been a lot of visits to the cancer clinic for mask fittings and finite radiation calculations. Tomorrow we start this 5 day treatment.
My wife, Marlene is so brave. She will be trapped in a very tight mask and locked to the radiation table for the treatment. I honestly don't know how she does it but as she said " when you want life bad enough, you will endure anything".
I have added some photographs so you can see what this involves.
We continue to need a lot of help for the next phase of treatments as these are not covered by public health.
Any little helps if you can help us.
Thank you all
Donna and Marlene

Thank you so much gals. We are so grateful for your hekp and kindness. Love to you both. Have a safe trip home.
Dear Yao Min, I am writing to sincerly thank you with all my heart for your kind donation to my campaign to save my partner Marlene. I cannot tell you how much an act of kindness from a stranger raises our hope and faith. This is a lonely journey for Marlene and I in many ways and to know that someone cared enough to donate to our efforts is beyond words. I have just launched a fundraisng campaign to offer Limited Edition prints for sale. Marlene has been an artist all of her life. Unfortunately she lost an eye to this cancer. Prior to that she was a prolific artist. Hopefully we can get her art circulating and raise some more funds toward our target. I will keep posting different pieces. If you can share these with friends and collegues who may be interested, I would be most appreciative. Thank you dear friend. Donna
