Trying to get my life sorted again but need a little help

I have three children who i have not seen for a very long time. & years ago I went to New Zealand to work in the aged care industry, I loved my work, The christchurch earthquakes came and destroyed my life, i was left with nothing and no way of getting help, the New Zealand government didnt want to help because I was an Australian and the Australian government didnt want to help because I was in New Zealand, they only wanted to know if I was alive. I came back to Australia thinking they would help but no they wont. I rent an over priced room, i have no belongings left. I am just wanting to raise enough money to get my own place and not be ashamed to get in contact with my children. At the moment i am so ashamed of being almost homeless and never having enough money for food, and i am only 35. Please help me even if its just a little amount
