Please help MinMin become pain free... she is in need of some big dental work!
Auckland
This teenage cat (now called MinMin) was left behind when her last owner moved out from their rental property. Straying over farmlands surrounded by other big neighbouring farms. Left to fend for herself, for months having to live on what ever wildlife she caught, causing some of her teeth to break and now not being in the best shape. When I first met her she was so sweet and happy that I had given her attention, knowing that she had been left at the property I didn't have the heart to leave her there.
I phoned around local Cat Rescue and SPCA to see if they would take her on but with their numbers being high they were unable to take her in.
Sadly black cats are less likely to be adopted than any other colour, due to superstitious beliefs and sometimes associated with bad luck. I set her up a bed in the garage and have her drinking & eating mashed Jelly Meat. She is super friendly and cuddly and deserves a second chance... (I don't understand how people can pack up and leave their pets behind)!
Minmin finds it difficult eating, I've had her to the vet for a full check over. Everything else is looking okay except for her teeth which are a grade 4 - this means severe decay/gum disease/loose teeth and pain & bad breath. MinMin needs several extractions and a scale and polish to save any teeth that may not be damaged under all that tartar. In the meantime I am doing everything I can to keep Minmin healthy.
Please help to fast track MinMin's surgery so she can be pain free and give her a chance at life and to enjoy her new family. Any donation will be greatly appreciated, every little bit will help.
I'm involved because I couldn't bare to see this sweet little black cat be left any longer by herself....
You can donate anything - from $1 to anything you can afford. Any amount is welcome and will help immensely.
All funds will go towards MinMin's surgery. Any extra funds above the bills, we would like to re-donate to Franklin Cat Rescue.
