A huge thank you to each and every one of you for your tremendous support of Monty, Meesha, our tamariki, and whanau. Together we have raised $200.00 through Give a Little, $160.00 through chocolate sales, and $40.00 in cash donations. Thank you so much!
With your support we have been able to take both Monty and Meesha to the vet. They have been treated for mites, a yeast infection, and kidney inflammation. Meesha has had a blood test which was clear and Monty is due for his blood test in the coming weeks. Monty and Meesha are currently on medication and their diet is supplemented with calcium and an array of vitamins.
Our tamariki at the centre have been asking a lot of questions about the birds and their health and this has opened a number of dialogues into keeping ourselves healthy.
The children have demonstrated a growing capacity to express empathy and compassion and have shown great concern over the welfare of Monty and Meesha. It has been an invaluable learning opportunity for all of us.
We would really love to show you our appreciation for all of your support and have a special surprise for each of you . Once again, thank you so much for all of your support.
