Help my cat Nimbus get treatment

$103 of $300 goal
Given by 3 generous donors in 4 weeks

My cat Nimbus has problems with his Thyroid. Has been to the vet but needs radioactive treatment to be back to his happy self!

Hawke's Bay

We have taken Nimbus to the vet and he is currently taking pills to control his Thyroid. We have to take him to the vet every month to check his levels and they are still ether reading to high or to low.

When Nimbus's Thyroid levels are to high he becomes lethargic and depressed, but when his levels are to low he starts to lose weight and fur (which I cant bare to see him like :c) .

The vet suggested that the best thing for Nimbus is to have radio-iodine therapy, which is a longtime cure for Thyroid disease. He has to stay away from home for a week which sucks, but its worth it in the end.

The therapy costs $500-$600, but I will be putting money from my own wages personally in to, so I have compensated in the asking amount.

Because Nimbus is my cat and have had him since he was born. Now that hes getting older it breaks my heart to see him go through this.

Most of all I'm doing this for my mum who loves Nimbus so much but really can not afford the therapy

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
