Help Sam Live Pain Free

My partner Sam has been living in chronic pain since having a traumatic accident in 2014. Seeking funding to help pursue medical treatment.

Bay of Plenty

I have made this page on behalf of my partner Sam. Sam has been living in chronic pain for the past 3 years after a traumatic accident he suffered in early 2014. The pain has been so debilitating that Sam (once a promising athlete and scholar student) has not been able to work since the injury and has spent most days house bound on very strong prescription drugs.

During this time he has gone from doctor to doctor and undergone two unsuccessful operations that he hoped would alleviate the extreme pain. The continual failure of treatment has been very taxing both financially and emotionally for Sam and has family.

Sam has recently discovered that the source of his pain has been misdiagnosed and that there is medical treatment offered in the US (that is not offered in New Zealand) that has the potential to get Sam pain-free and give him his life back.

The family is doing all they can to make sure Sam gets the medical treatment that is needed to give him the best chance of having a normal life again.

Any support given will be greatly appreciated and all funds raised will go towards giving Sam the medical treatment he needs

Samantha Penniket's involvement (page creator)

As Sam's partner I have watched the pain and heartache both Sam and his family have undergone these past three years. My hearts desire is for Sam to be pain free. I have created this page in hope that he will be able to access the medical treatment that he needs.

Use of funds

Funds will be used to pay for medical treatment and related rehabilitation

Treatment Received  16 March 2017

Hi everyone, just wanted to update you all on how the treatment has gone: Sam and I arrived back from the US yesterday and are optimistic with how it all went. Sam has been trained in a variety of techniques that will enable him to self treat. Although for most patients it is a long process moving forward the success stories we have heard are very encouraging and we are both hoping this will be the same for Sam. We would like to thank you again for your incredible generosity, love and support. Wishing you all the best for the remainder of the year. God Bless, Samantha & Sam.
