PLEASE HELP SHAYLA (My sons dog)

WE NEED HELP

we are needing the help of all our family and friends please.

Shayla my sons dog (Pit bull x) was taken to the pound on monday for biting another dog.

This is her story

My boarder was going to take my dog Charlie (fox terrier) for a walk, and Shayla didnt want to be left behind so she jumped out the bedroom window.

Coming down the street was a lady with a child around 8-9 months in a pram with a dog tied to the pram ( Medium sized mixed breed dog)

Shayla ran up to them in a playful mood, and the lady panicked started screaming, kicking and squirting water at Shayla.. Then her dog attacked Shayla and Shayla in her defense attacked back.

The pram was knocked over and the baby received a bump to the head, Lisa (niece)rung the ambulance, because the lady went into shock ..ambulance and 5 police cars arrived, and they were taken to the hospital, I pray that they are ok, as we havent been told anything..

In the fight between the 2 dogs the other dog was injured, and required vet treatment, we have not been told the out come of this other than the vet bill so far is up to $500

At the time the fight break up, everyone involved made sure that everyone was looked after.

And Jesse (my son) said he would pay all vet bills (even tho the other dog started it) Shayla was still at fault cause she jumped out the window

Jesse then took Shayla and tied her to the clothesline

Dog control was called and shayla was put in the back of their truck..

A Statement was taken from the boarder and Jesse was told that she will be in for the night, and will let him no the outcome the next day

Next day no one rung Jesse so he rung later that afternoon and was told that it was being taken to the lawyer and theres a possibility she is going to be put down, because of her breed.

and that he may also be prosecuted.. they said that we could go visit Shayla and we could make an appointment, they said they would ring back, and we are still waiting

Shayla is the most placid dog, she has been bought up around children, is so loving only dangerous thing about her, is her tail

I have spoken to a lawyer this morning and she has instructed us to start the ball rolling, by finding a lawyer and getting character references as this may end up in court where we fight to stop her from being put down
