Help Scout Run Again - Urgent Knee Surgery Needed

Scout is more than just a dog. If you’ve met him, you know he’s incredibly intelligent, gentle, and loyal. He’s always looking to make new friends, bring a smile to people’s faces, and sprint full speed up the beach. Sadly, while doing just that last weekend, Scout tore the dog equivalent of his ACL and MCL in his rear right knee and completely tore his meniscus as well. Right now, he has no function in that leg and is in a lot of pain.

This isn’t the first time – two years ago Scout needed the same surgery on his left rear knee. We knew there was always a risk the other side might eventually give way, and now it has. The only way Scout can live pain-free and enjoy the next five years of his life is through urgent TPLO surgery.

The operation and rehabilitation will cost upwards of $7,000. Because Scout has already had the same procedure on his other leg, insurance won’t cover any of it this time. His surgery is already penciled for the 12th of September, but we need help to raise the funds so we can confirm the procedure and get Scout the help he needs.

Scout is turning 9 in November, but still has the energy and spirit of a 2 year old dog. Please help us give him another 5 years of happy, active life, seeing his friends and loved ones.
