Help Simone represent NZ - Junior Indoor Netball Tri-Nations

ABOUT ME

My Name is Simone Bowe. I am 16 years old and I live in Palmerston North, New Zealand.

I currently attend Palmerston North Girls High School and I am a year 12 student.

Recently I have been selected to be a part of the U17 Girls Indoor Netball team and to represent New Zealand at the 2015 Junior Indoor Netball Tri-Nations to be held in Perth, Australia.

I have been playing outdoor netball for the past 7 years and Indoor netball for the past 3 years.

My selection to represent NZ at the Junior Indoor Netball Tri-Nations tournament was based on the outstanding skills and ability I demonstrated at the 2015 National Indoor Netball competition, playing for the Manawatu U19 mixed team.

I have also played in Manawatu U15 girls and U15 mixed representative teams for Indoor Netball.

OPPORTUNITY of a LIFETIME

This opportunity involves myself and 8 other girls from around New Zealand, as well as our coaches and manager, travelling over to Perth in July to represent New Zealand and play in the U17 Girls section of the tournament. We will play in two tournaments.

The first one is 6-aside (normal indoor) and the second is a 7-aside which is outdoor rules but played on a indoor court.

We will face teams from South Africa and Australia.

TRAINING & PREPARATION

I have been developing my netball skills for quite a long time. I play in three different indoor netball teams per week as well as an outdoor netball team.

Every week I train for two hours and attend a one hour early morning fitness training session.

Our New Zealand team has had two training camps held in Hamilton. This enabled us to meet, come together as a team and train hard for this competition.

BUDGET

For this trip I need to raise $3,900. This will cover training camps, flights, uniforms, accommodation, transport, tournament cost and help towards the team fund for food and first aid.

As well as training hard I am also working hard to raise enough funds to make this amazing opportunity a reality but I do need your help.

This selection has built up my confidence and increased my belief in my indoor netball abilities.
