Naomi suffers 2-3 violent seizures a week. We are fundraising to travel to America to get high CBD cannabis to help stop them.

Every week Naomi suffers 2-3 extraordinarily violent epileptic seizures. Often resulting in head wounds or concussions these seizures are distressing to watch to say the least.

Naomi has "medication resistant epilepsy." The amount of anti seizure pharmaceuticals that would stop her seizures also stop her heart and lungs.

There are no more traditional medicines that Naomi can try to control her epilepsy.

A new medication that has promising evidence is "high CDB cannabis". This medication is almost impossible to obtain in New Zealand. The easiest way is to actually travel to America. Get a prescription and then bring it back into the country.

We need a special kind of cannabis that is high in a chemical called CDB, which is different from THC, the chemical that gets you high.

I'm a friend of Naomi's and a medical cannabis advocate. I've seen first hand how much Naomi suffers with her condition. I want to do what I can to help her.

I'm also hoping this will highlight the painful realities or our laws in relation to Cannabis.

The money raised will be used for flights to America and to purchase the medicine in the states.
