It’s been very busy in between all the doctor check-ups, ophthalmologist and oncologist meetings. Vialli has recently noticed he's seeing double vision in his right eye, eye scans has discovered there are ridges in the back of his eye due to damage caused by tumor. Whether or not it can be treated we will find out in the next few months. There will be two appointments on the 19th of April to talk about his most recent PET and MRI scans. Thank you for all your ongoing love and support.

  • 25/2/16 UPDATE

      25 February 2016

UPDATE: News from Boston- Professor Christopher Fletcher has told me that the cancer currently shows a slow rate of mitosis. This is a surprise to the oncologists because the cancer had shown aggressive behavior in December.

The surgeon informed us that prior to removing the tumor, the cancer cells were in a little pocket with it's own life source attached to it. However during surgery and when the surgeon cut the pocket open, the cancer cells dispersed (which was the main concern post-surgery). It's likely that sitting in the eye orbit without the pocket is making it difficult for the cancer to grow.

I'm still waiting to meet with the head and neck specialist to take a look at my throat (the PET scan came up with some activity around the tonsil area so they need to double check). I will keep everyone updated with how it all goes smile emoticon thank you for all the love and support!!

  • PET SCAN RESULTS

UPDATE: the PET scan showed activities in the tonsil/ throat area so further tests with the specialist will have to be done to determine whether or not it's cancerous.. but apart from that, the scan showed no signs of cancer spread to other parts of the body.

Unfortunately the specialist in Boston hasn't given us any answers yet, which means that the best treatment is still undetermined. He has requested for more slides/tissue samples to get a better idea of what we're dealing with, so hopefully we'll hear from him soon.

I'll keep everyone updated with how everything goes ??, I'm also booked for an MRI scan in mid March. Thanks everyone for the love and support!
