This give-a-little page has been created to raise funds for the publishing of a faith-based anthology of writing "Here I am, Lord".

Pleasant Point writer, Karalyn Reid is calling for submissions for a new nationwide spiritual anthology of writing on Covid-19.
The theme of this new collection is “Covid-19”. She is looking for spirit-filled poetry or testimonies of hope and inspiration for people that are lost and looking for peace and love in this time of uncertainty and fear. She says the anthology will be based on Isiah 6:8 – about the Church rising up and offering peace and love, meaning and purpose.
Isaiah 6:8: And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
She says as we move forward into a world that has significant changes, socially, economically, and globally she feels led to collate an anthology of uplifting and positive contributions of spirit-filled writing.
Her vision is to get a copy of this anthology of hope and inspiration to doctor’s waiting rooms, hospitals or hospices around New Zealand.
As with her other anthologies she will choose the content from submissions received, and Karalyn says the funding for the book will come from submission fees, private sponsorship and a give-a-little page.
Pleasant Point writer, Karalyn Joyce (Reid) has had short stories and poetry published widely in New Zealand and edited a number of anthologies including three other Christian anthologies of writing ‘Fuel for the Soul’, ‘I Saw Love Today’, and ‘The Journey’, ‘Ragworts & Thistles’ for NZ Rural Women, and four children’s books.
She says there was some wonderful feedback from 500 copies of the anthology “I Saw Love Today” that were given out free by Christchurch churches post the Canterbury earthquakes.
A book launch will be held in Timaru later this year.
