Help get our brilliant Kapa Haka group to the National competitions.
Northland
Kia ora! Our brilliant kapa haka group was selected in 2018 to represent Northland primary schools at the National competitions in Hamilton in November. Fantastic! but... we will need to raise $40 000 to $50 000 to get there. Arrgh! Our whanau (families) and community are enthusiastic fundraisers, but they are already contributing (and many are already financially stretched). Hmm... how can we access koha (donations) from outside our school community? Maybe Givealittle can help.
Your koha (donation) will make a huge difference. Every $1, $2, $5 helps.
We are a primary school in Whangarei. We take pride in welcoming, caring for, and educating all children, especially those with major challenges in their lives.
Transport, costumes, food, accommodation etc for the Kapa Haka group and their support crew. Any excess will be used by the school to pay for children's EOTC experiences. We refuse to let tamariki (children) miss out because of financial issues.
Here we are, hard at work! 24 June 2019
Here are the children working on a waiata. This is an old song, because this year's waiata are still top-secret!
Please share far and wide, because every little bit helps!
