Hi, my name is Madelon and I am raising fund for my nephew, who is one of the Monoamniotic twins, also known as "MoMo" twins. They are identical twins that shared the same amniotic sac and placenta. Monoamniotic twins develop when an embryo does not split until after formation of the amniotic sac, at about 9–13 days after fertilization. This rare condition can lead to complications such as umbilical cord entanglement. His name is Gabriel, a surviving twin after Michael, his brother passed away at the age of 8 days old. Both of them were born after no heartbeat was detected during pregnancy at just over 32 weeks. The stress of the babies would have been lesser if the scheduled CS went as planned but postponed after 24 hours. Michael, was born pale and lacking colour. He was fighting for his life but lost after 8 days. They were born in the Philippines, but with the powers that be, a public hospital is no longer what we have expected to be, to assist those in need. The medical bills for the twins are astronomical. With the surviving twin, Gabriel, who needs to spend weeks in NICU, this takes on the financial toll for the family. Currently, Gabriel is now released into the real world under promissory note, he needs constant time with a pediatrician after his release. We are incredibly grateful for any support you can provide.
