Heya I’m Amber!
I’m one this year, the little sister to two older brothers - Ayden and Anson: and the precious daughter of my parents - Jackson and Sophia. Although Amber itself is already a short name, my family still gives me a nickname ‘Ber Ber’. I find it cute, I love it and I react to it more than Amber!
Only a while ago, my family and I traveled all the way from the land of Kiwis, New Zealand to Singapore and Malaysia for holidays. We flew on big wings on multiple trips, some long enough for me to sleep through, some short ones that I could only manage to enjoy the view up in the sky for a bit. My parents did struggle with me on board but it was expected. I’m one after all, what did they expect? ;)
We met a lot of families and friends, some for the first time, some so familiar. Everyone treats me like a princess, the jewel, the most precious one. Lots of presents were received, lots of red packets which they consists of the notes for my parents to cash out toys for me! Just as I thought, I’m young, I’m gorgeous and I’m popular. So very much expected too!
One thing though, I haven’t got a voice yet, I haven’t started talking just yet, my voice is merely a tool that I can use to signal my expression at the moment but I do long to learn how to speak one day, especially from my mother directly. However, she’s sick.. this was an unexpected event. The exclamation in this trip.
She now sleeps everyday, in bed. They called it a brain injury, one we didn’t expect to happen. She collapsed one evening and I stopped having her with me physically since then. She needs assistance in her daily life. She doesn’t talk to me anymore. It’s been so long that I feel as if I am starting to forget how she sounds like, even how she looks like. She used to caress me everyday, having me in arms, toys and food. I mean she’s there, she’s providing. She knows me well, my cries, my laughter, my smell and my breath. She’s my everything. Yes, the mother and daughter bond that no one can replicate, no one can carbon copy it anyhow.
I’m sad, if only the adults can feel my pain... and if you do, I need your help. Uncles and Aunties, my precious families and friends. I need you. At this moment. I need your kind hearts to support my father, Jackson. He’s hurt, more than any of us but he’s a warrior. A man who doesn’t shed a tear in front of us, continue to make us feel secured and safe. However, we know that it’s hard...
Therefore, here is my little plea - If you are able to support by giving a little for me, my brothers and parents, please do so. Please donate. My dad is looking after my mum in Malaysia and unable to resume his job. This means financially, we’re suffering. So, until the day my lovely mother returns to me and my family, awakened from her sleep and back in New Zealand safely and healthy, I need your support to help my family and I financially. Please.
Kiwi government, please help us if you read this. I’m a kiwi without my dad and mum because we can’t bring mum home so dad stays overseas with her..
May God continue to shower you and your family lots of love and blessings!
Thank you,
Ber Ber and family.
