Raising funds to help the older children from the Himalayan Children's Care Home go to college/University!
International
The Himalayan Children Care Home is a non-profit social organisation in Pokhara, Nepal. It is home to 87 children between the ages of 5 and 20. These children come from some of the most deprived families of the Upper Mustang region. Lama Pasang, the founder, has selflessly taken these children in and provided them with food, shelter, education and health.
This year, 7 of the older children passed their School Leaving Certificate (S.L.C) and are in the process of applying for colleges or further education. The courses they are applying for include teaching, management and roles in IT. However, as we know, tertiary education is not cheap and some of the children still need help to pay for their course.
Over the past 4 years, I have been spending some time volunteering at the Himalayan Children's Care Home in Pokhara, Nepal. Here, I have had the privilege of meeting and getting to know 87 of the kindest, most caring and amazing human beings I have every met! Never have I ever met such a loving group of children, who may have little but still give everything. In return, I would like to help them in any way possible.
All funds raised will go directly to the older childrens' college fees!
