Help for the most hard working man I have ever met

For the past 5 years I have had to watch my partner Guy suffer in terrible pain on a daily basis, due to his buggered hips. Guy now lives with bone on bone, no cartilage and severe arthritis in both hips. I am not one to ask for help especially financial but watching an honest, decent, hard working 40 year old man suffer terribly each and every day while continuing to work I felt I have to do something for him, the man who would do anything for anyone else in need.

Guy urgently needs two hip replacements, starting with his left. As self employed fencing contractors if we dont work, we dont get paid. Guy has kept putting off his surgery until we can afford to support ourselves while he recovers, continuing to work in unimaginable pain.

Since 2003 Guy has consitently gone down hill. Poor medical documentation from then means ACC will not cover Guy. Two surgeries have failed to repair Guys hips, and resulted in medical misadventure. In a third surgery they immediately closed him up as replacement is now the only option. While we have fought and continue to fight ACC to cover Guy, we are having no success.

We will need to support ourselves for 3 months while Guy recovers, meeting all of our bills and living costs. We have worked out we can do this by meeting our basic living costs on a third of what we are earning without the cost of running our contracting business.
