A group of volunteers are needing help in hosting a FREE community screening of the Critically Acclaimed independent film 'Ten Years 十年' in Christchurch.
Your donation will enable us to set up the screening, cover costs for hire of venue, license fees and logistic fees. This is an authorised event from the original Film Distributor.
About the film:
Ten Years 《十年》 is a speculative dystopic Hong Kong film released in 2015. It offers a vision of Hong Kong in 2025, with human rights and freedoms gradually diminishing as the mainland Chinese government exerts increasing influence.
Winner of the 22nd Hong Kong Film Critics Society Award and the 35th Hong Kong Film Awards, the film has been censored and banned from screening in Mainland China.
Date/Time: Tuesday, 1st Oct 2019, doors 7:00pm for 7:30pm screening (50 Seats Available)
Language: Cantonese with Traditional Chinese and English subtitles.
Venue: Space Academy, 371 St Asaph St, Central City, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand
Food: Fresh pizzas and drinks will be available for purchase on the night
