Save lives this winter

Approximately one thousand people a year contract head and neck cancer in New Zealand. There will be many thousands more out there in the community recovering from 12 hour surgeries, from 35 days of radiation and chemo, stuggling with their appearance and/or their ability to eat, talk and smile. Our job to help these cancer patients as they travel the cancer path.

Another task we believe in passionately is to help prevent the cancer and detect it early.

Support and campaigns cost money. After updating our patient packs and paying for our Pinc and Steel rehab campaign, we are raising money this winter to pay for more blenders and dental products, more petrol and taxi vouchers and for our running costs. Help us raise $5000 by the end of August.

By raising awareness of this unsung cancer, by advocating for early detection, by encouraging people to have their pre-teens vaccinated against HPV we are saving lives in the literal sense. By supporting people through the adversity of treatment and its aftermath we are saving people's lives in the figurative sense.

Our charity relies on pro bono legal and accounting support. Our online forum is via a private Facebook group and we keep running costs to a minimum. This is because the products and financial support we give is important to us and we look forward to extending our reach. Every small donation can make a difference.
