Auckland

Beloved people, this gorgeous German Shepherd Pup Hogan is only a 7 months old baby.. We are blessed to have him in our lives. We are a family of 4, mom, dad and 2 kids. Hogan is a 2020 lockdown or quarantine pup. When we were in our first lock down beginning of this year; my wife was very lonely and isolated with the children from the world as most people felt I am sure. She suffered from loneliness and sadness. We as a family decided that is it, it is the time to buy a puppy after that in case we might go through similar situations again which we did. Frankly speaking my wife have sometimes anxiety and worries that she is fighting and working through her faith in the Lord Jesus who loves all dearly. The Lord showed us the way and blessed us to get a puppy like Hogan of trade me after a very very long search. My family always loved especially the kids to have a German Shepherd pup as they love Chase from Paw Patrol cartoon who is a German Shepherd Dog initially.

We were already looking since 2019. We tried adopting dogs but every time we go to adopt they were all gone to different families. We tried to buy a dog but every time we call for one, it already gone. I feel this pup was a blessing that he was the last one left in our time of search this year. My child says "I love Hogan so much as he was the last dog available for us that time". Hogan has been an indeed blessing to us especially my wife's, her health wise has improved since, her emotional side of things, getting him to walk almost daily, smelling the fresh air with him, his unconditional love and acceptance for us has changed us inside out. Wife is an over weight person who was hardly getting out of the house for walks but since she got Hogan she is out walking him at least 5 times a week. Bless him.

**Later we discovered this poor pup has an *Allergy* issues and took him to the vet and cost us an arm and a leg. Wife is a hard working mother and I am a hard working dad and an essential worker who works from dawn to dusk for at least 14 hours a day to bring ends meet. I did not expect this little pup to be this big first of all. He still has a long way to go as he is only a 7 months old pup now.**

**With his size, the medicine is getting quite expensive and also our car is a *very small car* for Hogan. We own a Toyota corolla that does not fit this lovely animal in especially with the kids. Every one who sees him say you need a van, a truck or a unit to contain him!!!**

In addition we did not expect he might suffer from allergy attacks from now and then. His ears, eyes and skin become inflamed. Rashes on the skin, red eyes, inflamed ears etc. His tummy can get quite upset from vomiting and diarrhea. All backed up by the our vet's notes. By now we have spent so much on him as well as the household bills that keeps coming non stop. The vet recommended that we do an allergy test on him once he is 1 year old but it will be quite expensive to figure out what is wrong with him. So meanwhile Hogan needs to get shots of Cytopoint which we gave since he was few months old and costed us 130$ a shot that only lasts 4 weeks. He needs to get them regularly and because he is big now it costs more than $160 a shot .. Besides we had to buy him $90.00 special diet twice already to relief his upset stomach! Each vet's visit costs an arm and a leg from consult fees and other medicinal fees involved.

For now frankly speaking we can not afford buying Hogan the shots or may be to do an allergy test or even buying him the special diet without your generosity and care. We need a bigger car for him as well but I do not see that coming any time now especially in these tough times. So Please we will be honored and blessed if we have your hands extended to our family in order to get Hogan the best treatment and care we all can give for him to live a longer happy life and by that he is saving so many lives including us especially my wife's. Without Hogan, my wife's mental and emotional health would be even worsened. Dogs are so loyal and human's best friends indeed.

Hogan has his own you tube channel, appreciate if you can subscribe and join the joy and fun seeing him growing up more and more with our tender care and love.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
