There is a hole in the hull of my home.

  • The hole is gone!

It has been a freaking loooong week for me gathering tools from friends, teaching myself how to fix a ply boat and going through emotional ups and downs. Oh, and running a fundraising campaign. I do all this by myself and sometimes I wonder what it would be like if I wasn't single, haha :D. Anyway, I was overwhelmed by the amount of help I received, how smooth it all went down and how I somehow managed to not lose my shit because this was a huge challange for me.

I feel like I could write a book only about that week but hey, I got stories to tell so don't be shy to ask me what I experienced when you are seeing me next time.

I also got a hold of the owner of "Spruce Goose" and he turned out to be an awesome dude who offered his yacht in exchange for the damage done on my boat. It took me 48h to sell the old lady for $1200 to a friend who now can also live his dream of sailing and owning a yacht.

I might make a short movie with some clips I managed to take during this journey. There is only this picture I got for now. It shows to Mormon Elders and me right after we successfully closed the hole together. I was walking past them as they were fishing on the breakwater of the marina and they offered help which I was so greatful for. I made so many friends this week, feel much more integrated in the "boaty scene" around the Mount and simply seen as a dude who can do shit no matter how bad the situation.

Thaaaanks again. I am also calling this fundraiser off because selling this other boat makes it possible to maybe even have a celebration once the paint is on!
