Holly Joy Devine

Since the age of 13 Holly Devine has been battling Melanoma and each time she would dominate the cancer and keep living her life to the fullest. Now at the age of 26, Holly's cancer has come back and this time with a vengeance spreading to her lungs, liver and bones.

It’s been a hard road for Holly over the past couple of months and we are so thankful for all the support we have received from everyone. However, we need everyone’s help more than ever.

The B-raff drug that Holly has been on has unfortunately not taken effect like it did last time meaning the cancer is continuing to spread and we have one more chance to save Holly’s life by sending her over to Thailand for treatment.

In Bangkok there is a cancer clinic headed by Professor Michael Trogisch MD phD, and a team of specialists from throughout the world. The Brio Clinic offers a comprehensive range of treatments including hyperthermia (heat therapy), HIFU (high intensity focused ultrasound), pH transformation therapy, immunotherapy and infusions of micellized nutrients which has all been recommended for Holly to give her a fighting chance. Prof Trogisch has reviewed Holly’s records and believes that he can help her even at this late stage and since New Zealand does not offer these types of treatments we have no time to waste in getting her over to the clinic and need to get her there next week.

These treatments which have been recommended to Holly will take course over 35 days and with the cost of $130,000. This includes all the treatments and accommodation.

Without the support of Dan and her family, Holly would not being going to this clinic next week but we need help from everyone so the burden of the financial expense doesn’t weigh on them alone. With a little help from everyone we can make this time a little bit easier for her family and show Holly that we are all truly still behind her.

We are aware that this figure is high but with the support of everyone we know we can do this. Holly is the one who is fighting the hardest battle of all so anything that we can do to help will take minimal strength compared to the strength the Holly has and is still enduring.
