Fundraising for young dancer Honor Clement to help assist her on her way to achieving her dream of being a professional ballerina.
Nationwide
My name is Honor Clement and I am a homeschooler and middle child in a family of five children. From the age of 6 I have been diligently dancing, doing ballet, jazz and contemporary and working tirelessly toward my goal of becoming a ballerina. I started Pilates classes at 10 to build core strength. At 14yrs old I was given the opportunity of attending full time ballet training at Dance Masters International in Christchurch and for the last 2 and a half years I have danced on average 35 hours a week under the amazing tutelage of Frederic Jahn, Patricia Ruanne and Olivia Russell. My classes include RAD Syllabus, open ballet, pointe, contemporary, and pilates to build strength and control. I recently sat my Advanced Two RAD exam at the New Zealand School of Dance in Wellington and received Distinction. I also work part time in a local cafe to support my dancing goals. I am hardworking, talented and driven.
In order to continue my pursuit and dream of becoming a professional dancer I need financial support to complete my training. At 17 years of age I have one more year of full time ballet training before being ready to audition for professional ballet companies. Ultimately my dream is to become a soloist or principal in a company overseas. I am a tall dancer and love companies such as The Pacific Northwest or Lines Ballet Companies in the US who embrace dancers of my stature.
I would appreciate any and all support you could give. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about me and my dreams.
