A solo mum seeking help for child born sleeping with living expenses and funeral costs.
Wellington, Kapiti Coast District
I’m a sole parent to one beautiful little girl, conceived after years of heartbreak—five failed rounds of IUI, six miscarriages, and tens of thousands of dollars in privately funded fertility treatment. After all that, I was finally blessed with my daughter—my miracle.
I was then blessed again with another long-hoped-for gift—my second daughter. But a few weeks ago, my world shifted.
Our baby was diagnosed with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia, which meant her lungs would not develop properly. She also had a critical heart condition—Tetralogy of Fallot—and signs of spinal abnormalities.
We hoped, we prayed, and we prepared ourselves for every possible outcome. But despite all the love, hope, and fight, we have received the heartbreaking news that her journey has come to an end.
Our daughter has sadly passed away and will be born sleeping at 31 weeks and 5 days.
Now, I am facing the unimaginable—planning for her birth and her farewell at the same time. I’m asking for help, not only with the costs that have already come with carrying a high-risk pregnancy, but also with the funeral and memorial expenses, travel and living costs as we prepare to lay our precious girl to rest.
This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write. But I am determined to honour her life, however brief, with love, dignity, and grace.
Every donation, share, and kind word means more than I can say. Thank you for helping me carry this heartbreak and celebrate the short but powerful life of my beloved daughter.
I’m the sole parent of the beneficiary—my unborn daughter. Funds will help with funeral expenses travel, living expenses and cremation Every cent is for her.
