Fundraising for my beloved niece.
Ashburton, Canterbury
Hi! My name is Arlene Tai and I am from Ashburton, NZ and originally from Siquijor, Philippines. Recently, we have been faced with an unfortunate event. My niece, known as "Joy", went through a tragic motor vehicle accident in Siquijor. She was unconscious and was airlifted to one of the hospitals to the neighbouring island. Joy was in coma for 5 days and was in ICU for almost 2 weeks. From this accident, she was diagnosed with severe Traumatic Brain Injury with burns on her right lower extremity.
Hospitalization, treatment and medication in the Philippines are not subsidized by the government. As much as my family and her employer would want to help with all the expenses, our funds are not sufficient to cover the medical treatment.
Joy is a single mum and his 12 year old son is currently under the care of her grandmother. I humbly ask for your kindness to please help us in Joy's road to recovery. Any amount will be a big help for her medical bills.
P.S. For those who are not residing in NZ and are unable to donate on this fundraising, you can contact CATHY LEE MAGHANOY through messenger or on her mobile #, 0906 859 0810, for any mode of donation you have access to. You can also also deposit it directly to her bank account:
BANK NAME: Metrobank
ACCOUNT NO.: 9977997002543
The beneficiary is my niece.

One Day At A Time 22 December 2021
Hello Family and Friends!
In behalf of Joy and our family, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has shared their generosity to us. Here's an update on Joy, she has been discharged and is already home in Siquijor last December 2. Joy is slowly recovering one day at a time and is still on Neuro aid medication for the blood clot in her brain sustained from the accident.
Again, we would like to thank you all for your kindness. Sharing with you a picture of her smiling towards recovery.
