Hope for Lis: Support a brave mum through an uncertain time.
Wellington
We're reaching out on behalf of our beloved sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and their five beautiful children.
Just this week, their world was turned upside down. Mum – a strong and loving mum – suffered numerous strokes, which led to a serious brain bleed. She is now in a bad way, and while we hold onto hope and continue to pray for a miracle, the road ahead is uncertain.
This tragedy has left a young family suddenly without the anchor who kept their lives running – emotionally and practically. With five children needing care, stability, and support, the family is facing enormous pressure. Dad is doing everything he can to hold things together, but the emotional and financial burden is immense.
We’ve created this page to help take some of that weight off their shoulders. Your generous support will go directly toward day-to-day expenses for the kids – food, clothing, school needs, and keeping a sense of normality in this deeply abnormal time. It will also allow the family to stay close to Mum, to be with her, speak to her, and surround her with love as we continue to hope against hope for recovery.
No donation is too small – every bit helps.
I am her sister inlaw and aunty to her children

Against all odds, Lis is making progress and has been released back home to the care of her whanau. Although the future is still unclear, we thank everyone for the support so far.
