Hope for Ricky Baker

Ricky Baker walked into his home in Cable bay on the morning of Tuesday the 19th of May lethargic and weak, with blood coming from his mouth and nose. Unsure of what had happened, my sister and her partner raced him to Kaitaia Vets where he was rushed into surgery. There they discovered he had been deliberately shot in the face, with a 22. caliber rifle. They are expecting $1000's worth of vet bills over the coming weeks, with the possibility of moving him to intensive care to try and save his life.

Ricky Baker (named after the infamous Hunt for the Wilderpeople character) is not your average cat. He is the kindest, gentlest, fattest boy, who is 6 year old Tysons best friend in the whole world. They sleep together every night. He is an important member of their family, and they will do anything to bring him home.

While Police have a good idea of who shot him, they sadly dont have enough proof. Therefore the financial burden lies with them. I have started this page to help support my sister and her young family, so they can save their beloved pet without the hardship that will follow.
