Family of three affected by a neighboring house fire, causing damage to their home and belongings.
Wellington
This give a little page has been set up to help raise money for a family of three who were affected by a house fire in Porirua. Emergency services were called to the blaze at about 5.50 pm. Eight fire trucks attended the fire which left nothing but the chimney.
Unfortunately the fire spread rapidly to the neighbours property, causing extensive damage to their home. The family are safe and well and were able to flee their home, taking only important documents and their pets. "When the fire took hold the first thing we did was grab the animals out, and now we're just dealing with the consequences". However, the fire has destroyed the family's caravan and caused extensive damage to their house and belongings. It is heartbreaking to see the damage to their home after fifteen years of living on the street. They have insurance for their house, but unfortunately their insurance for the caravan lapsed before the fire.
Sadly, they have also just lost their beloved family dog, Jazz. Jazz meant everything to the family, and combined with the outcome of the fire, the family are devastated.
I am a close friend of the family. They are kind honest people, and worked hard to create a home. I have set this page up to help the family get a head start. Money donated will help cover living costs to rebuild their lives as well as clothing and essentials to help them get back on their feet. Any donation, big or small, can help the family move forward, and will be appreciated.
I am a good friend of the family. Their son is my daughter's best friend. I have created this page on behalf of Amanda, who is the owner of the home in which the funds are being raised for.
Essential living costs - food, accomodation, clothing. The money will also help the family with the cost of repairs to their home and replacement of their belongings.
