House of Science Hutt Valley Appeal
Help safeguard the future of science education in the Hutt.

For the past 9 years 'Hutt Science' has provided innovative and comprehensive science resource kits to classrooms across the Hutt Valley. Our cornerstone funders, Hutt City Council and Upper Hutt City Council, have generously supported this journey to date. Unfortunately, we are facing a critical funding challenge with the imminent withdrawal of financial support from both councils.
Without this crucial funding our Hutt Valley branch is unable to continue its vital work of providing bi-lingual science kits to 15,000 students across 67 schools in the region.
The stakes are high. Without a funding lifeline, countless students will be deprived of valuable hands-on learning experiences, hindering their academic growth and future prospects.
Urgent action is needed to safeguard the future of science education in the Hutt Valley. Every bit helps. Thanks for your support.

House of Science is passionate about inspiring young New Zealanders' interest in science through tangible learning experiences. We provide quality science resource kits to primary and intermediate schools across Aotearoa.
Use of funds
Funds raised will go towards keeping this branch open, empowering teachers in the Hutt Valley area to carry out engaging hands-on science lessons.

Increasing our Fundraising Goal 14 June 2024
We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming generosity and support we have received so far. Thanks to you, we have made significant progress toward our initial goal. However, we have come to realise that the need is even greater than we initially anticipated. Therefore, we are increasing our fundraising target to ensure we can fully meet the goal to keep our Hutt Valley branch going and help safeguard the future of science education in the Hutt.
