Every child deserves access to hands-on science but not every school has the resources. Will you partner with us to help solve this problem?
Nationwide
The Problem: Less than 30% of New Zealand's primary schools were delivering an effective science programme when House of Science began in 2013. It was often due to lack of teacher confidence, time, or equipment. What's more, by age 10, kids have largely decided what career path they will likely pursue.
The House of Science Solution: A comprehensive resource kit library that empowers teachers to deliver hands-on science lessons on a regular basis - with all resources in both te reo Māori and English.
House of Science funding: Received from the Ministry of Education, sponsorship, donations and volunteers. All support is gratefully received and tax deductible.
Scientific literacy is our overall goal: Resulting in significant economic and social benefit for all New Zealand. Science improves critical thinking skills, health and wellbeing and economic prosperity.
Our children need your support. Will you partner with us to help raise scientific literacy in Aotearoa New Zealand?
