Less than 30% of NZ primary schools deliver an effective science programme. Will you partner with us to help solve this problem?
Nationwide
The Problem: Less than 30% of NZ primary schools deliver an effective science programme. Our science results have declined for many years on national and international monitoring studies. By age 10 kids have largely decided what career path they will likely pursue.
The House of Science Solution: A comprehensive resource kit library that empowers teachers to deliver hands-on science lessons on a regular basis. Everything is bi-lingual, both in te reo Maori and English.
Not Government funded: House of Science receives no funding from the Ministry of Education so relies on sponsorship, grants, donations and volunteers. All support is gratefully received and tax deductible.
Scientific literacy is our overall goal: Resulting in significant economic and social benefit for all New Zealand. Science improves critical thinking skills, health and wellbeing and economic prosperity.
Our children need your support. Will you partner with us to help raise scientific literacy in Aotearoa New Zealand?
House of Science is passionate about inspiring young New Zealanders' interest in science through tangible learning experiences. We provide quality science resource kits to primary and intermediate schools and professional learning for teachers.
