Love for the persecuted, the outcast, the victims, the old, the diseased, the forgotten…
Those crying no-one hears, those rejected no-one sees, those bound no-one frees, those sick no-one heals, those homeless no-one shelters, those hated no-one loves, those dying no one holds, those lost no one prays for.
It is striving to follow the way of Yahushua/Jesus as portrayed in the Bible by providing emergency accommodation for vulnerable women in Narasapur, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India.
We own the land and the building completely but it needs finishing. The huge rooms in the photo need dividing into smaller bedrooms for those seeking safety. In the middle section we will build a kitchen, toilets, showers and laundry area.
This is a safe zone, so we also need a high and secure fence completely around the property. We need to raise $NZD 68,000 to achieve this.
We're trying to reach victims like the young woman whose photo is in the gallery.
She was gang raped.
She went to the police and they raped her also. She now lives on the street and, like a wild animal, runs from place to place, even away from other women if they try to help her.
It is in the same town as this young woman that we are setting up the Father's Love Refuge.
Locally, the refuge is staffed my local Christians. Azariah who will oversee the refuge is a fifth generation Christian, local to the area. He is married with two children and with his father they have established over 100 churches.
He is a personal friend of Steve's and both Steve and Azariah have worked with and served orphans in the region.
One drop of rain contributes to a flood.
One prayer can cause a miracle.
One dollar can build a dream for that low outcast.
Asked to set up this page for the owner of Fathers Love Refuge for Steve Straka who is the operator of this organisation
To complete the unfinished building by adding kitcken, toilet, sleeping quarters for abused women.
