The Amazon Rainforest is under threat from thousands of fires, but you can help!
International
The Amazon Rainforest has been dubbed the "lungs of the planet" but as you will have heard it's currently under threat from thousands of fires.
In an area called la Chiquitania in Bolivia, a volunteer firefighter group called Caballeros de Fuego (which translates to Gentlemen of the Fire) are working around the clock to put out fires.
Caballeros de Fuego president Luis Llanos says the group of volunteers is quickly running out of supplies.
His sister, Andrea, who lives in Hamilton, New Zealand, has put this Givealittle page together to collect funds for the volunteer firefighters, so that they continue their efforts to stop the Amazon fires, and eventually return home to their families.
All donations will go directly to Caballeros de Fuego, who will use the donations to buy supplies to enable the volunteers to continue their work.
Every donation is appreciated.
