Stephanie has chosen to stand out against the odds and to ask for support to get her to Wellington and onto the Vatican.
Auckland
Stephanie Pomare is the last student in the world holding onto Hato Petera College. She was running out of time and struggling to find support until she went onto Marae TV. Her story has inspired and raised awareness to over 300 thousand people who watched her face lonely days and weeks holding out for support to hold onto a 90 Year old school who is facing dark days ahead if she looses her battle to starve off the closure. That action of one voice, has given a Nation the inspiration to get into action and help stop Hato Petera College fade into the archives as another fallen Maori school that provided the dedication, passion, love, support, education of leaders past, present and future, to so many young people would never have known their potential had they not attended Hato Petera College. Time is of the essence and we need to get on the road now, to save the last co-ed Maori Catholic School in the world. All proceeds will go towards supporting Stephanie to meet with the Minister of Education, Chris Hipkins and then to travel to the Vatican to give her message of hope to the Pope about saving Hato Petera.
As Stephanie's mum I am supporting Stephanie to get to Wellington to meet with the Minister of Education to save her school. She also wants to go to the Vatican to deliver her message to the Pope to help her save her school. Stephanie is the last student of Hato Petera College, the only co-ed Maori Catholic School in the world. She has a voice and she is using it the only way she knows how.
All proceeds go towards supporting the Travel Expenses for Stephanie and her supporters.
