Hula On The Awa is about preserving our Cook Island Culture in Whanganui. You can help us purchase our own Cook Island drum set here!
Whanganui, Manawatu-Wanganui
Hula on the Awa is about reconnecting young Cook Island people to their culture and heritage and preserving it through music, dance and the arts.
Currently our young hula group have no Cook Island drums to dance to and have been busy fundraising to bring the music of the Cook Islands to the Whanganui river.
We are currently short of our goal by $3,500 and so we are here to appeal to those who wish to see our tamariki reach their goal to be able to dance to the beat of their own drums! Any and all support is much appreciated
The $3,500 raised will complete our purchase of the Cook Island drum set we need
