Touchwood Fishing Charters needs your support

Hi my name is Amber and my partner Michael and I are the owners of Touchwood Fishing Charters, based here in Gisborne. We have owned and operated Touchwood since February 2021. We absolutely love what we do, we love getting to spend a day with people fishing and chatting, we have found an incredible community here in Gisborne and we couldn't ask for better people. We have had many a trial so far between engine issues, covid and poor weather but on Sunday the 18th of September, we faced our biggest challenge yet. On our way out to sea a bracket failed which dropped the coolant pipe, dumping all our coolant, which caused an immediate and catastrophic overheat of our engine. Touchwood is our livelihood, we've had invested everything we have into her so we are asking for support financially to help us stay afloat, pun intended, until we are able to get back out on the water. We are waiting to hear back from our insurance to see if the engine will be covered if not we will also be needing support in raising funds for a new engine. All funds donated will go directly to paying our ongoing costs, suchs aps and making the boat finace payments and any funds over and above that will be put directly into getting the boat back out there.
