Support for Landslide Victims: Help Us Rebuild Lives
In the serene and picturesque district of Wayanad, Kerala, a sudden and devastating landslide struck, turning dreams into nightmares. Entire communities were uprooted, homes were destroyed, and lives were forever changed. The disaster left behind a trail of destruction and despair, with families struggling to find shelter, food, and basic necessities.
Among the affected are farmers who have lost their livelihoods, children who no longer have a place to call home, and elders who are left without their life's savings. These resilient people need our help to rebuild their lives from the ground up.
We have launched this Give a Little fund to provide immediate relief and long-term support to the victims of the Wayanad landslide. Your generous contributions will go towards emergency supplies, rebuilding homes, and restoring livelihoods. Every little bit helps, and together, we can make a significant impact.
Join us in this mission to bring hope and healing to the people of Wayanad. Your support can make all the difference. Please donate and share this campaign with your friends and family. Let's come together to rebuild lives and restore the beauty of Wayanad.
Funds will be send to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) via their website: https://donation.cmdrf.kerala.gov.in/
Gratitude for Your Support in Raising Funds for Wayanad Disaster Relief – Empowering the Education of 13 Children 19 October 2024
Dear Residents of New Zealand,
Through the recent fundraising efforts led by the Kerala Association of Manawatu for our brothers and sisters affected by the natural disaster in Wayanad, a total of NZ $5220 was collected via the Givealittle page. After deducting their service fee of NZ $261, the net amount of NZ $4960 was credited to the charity account of the Kerala Association of Manawatu. ✨
Additionally, the Association received NZ $200 from one individual fundraiser and a further NZ $100 from another generous donor. 🙏
After thorough discussions and considerations, the Managing Committee of the Kerala Association of Manawatu decided to use these funds to pay off the INR 269,000 (NZ $5333.49) overdue school fees of 13 children from different communities who were affected by the disaster and studying at the Eldho Mar Cesolios JECS Campus in Meenangadi, Wayanad. 📚✏️
Though it may not seem a large contribution, the Kerala Association of Manawatu extends its heartfelt thanks to all the generous residents of New Zealand who supported this humble initiative. ❤️
We would also like to express special gratitude to the individuals and organizations who stood by us during this fundraising effort. 🙌
It is our shared pride to have been able to support the future of these young students. May they have a bright and promising tomorrow... 🌟
