"MYRIVR is your river to help". Mike King MYRIVR is NZ's largest in-app directory of community services in the palm of your hand.

The MYRIVR app was designed to provide the following service:

• Enables access to a database of services

• Provide detailed services for each service provider including location, opening hours, distance and cost

• GPS technology can ensure referrals within the individual and families locality or residential address

• Tracking of referrals by user to providers of services

• Updates, feedback and alerts

• 24/7 access to translation services

• 24/7 access to all emergency and refuge services

MYRIVR is 100% self-funded and designed by the community, for the community. It is managed by a team of 6 volunteers all with full-time jobs. Despite lack of funding, the team believe that there should not be any barriers to our communities seeking help.

USER FEEDBACK

"Hey guys just sending a quick message of great work with this app!!....I've been in the Police almost 9 years and currently working in youth development perfect tool for me. I haven't had a proper test drive yet but initial thoughts are this is very cool, I was googling if anyone had made an app for all social services and you guys popped up first! Nice work"

"Loving this app! Just been introduced to it today and it’s such an awesome way to look up everything I need in our community!!"

"Sitting in a hui at Kelston Community Centre and was so blown away, downloaded the app throughout the presentation! Fantastic way to share with all communities - thank you thank you thank you! How can we support you to get funding from government?"

"What an awesome tool to have. Thank you for sharing."

"Thoroughly enjoy this app. It's a very much needed. I like how simple it is to use. And the areas that it covers. Thanks heaps As a professional how do I use it to send a referral for a client??? Thanks for providing this space to make it easier to connect with other services and agencies."

" I'm a support worker tasked with assisting released prisoners back into the community. I've been using this App for over two weeks now and I'm astounded at how useful it is. Previously if I needed a contact who specialised in an area my client needed help with I would just Google Search the issue and ring arounf about who does what and where... it's time consuming and inconvenient as sometimes it can lead you on a wild goose chase. its specific and direct to the area of convenience for the client"

"Hi, I am a family member of Jamie Sugden who recommended your app. I have had a look and think it is fantastic. Easy to use, informative and the potential unlimited. Will be recommending this to friends, family and work mates. Well done and awesome initiative. Cheers Shane"

"Nga Mihi Akarei and team RIVR a great app and I easily spent 30 minutes surfing the menu's , I think a great add on is to have a section where there are Defibrillators stationed on sites eg Us Hikoi4life at 500 Maraekakaho road Hastings. never know but great work and I will be promoting our 1500 members to join up. Les CEO Hikoi4life Community Centre"

"Awesome search capabilities - relevant, informative and efficient. Signing up was easy too and downloading the app is quick. I would highly recommend this resource for our people and appreciate the efforts your team have made to help our communities - Ka Pai koutou. Lullita Tangiiti Managing Director Www.healthtradeemployment.com Www.kbabzshop.com"

"what a fantastic app I suffer anxiety and depression PTSD and I love this the hardest time of year is coming up Christmas and New Year"

"Basically your tripadvisor of services. The app itself is easy to navigate and provides excellent visibility of what services are available. My only hope are that the services themselves respond to referrals so we know who has capacity. Good work"

"Very useful app especially the different type of services are available and their locations GPS. Plenty of suicide and depression info too. Highly recommended to schools or anyone"

"Great for those of us new to the country and trying to fine their way though NZ. Great"
