Assistance needed while studying Theology

Christchurch, Canterbury

My story is simple.

Raised a Christian, but I have made a huge amount of mistakes along the way culminating in a fight with a gambling addiction that cost me friends, my family, and the home around me.

I turned my back on Him but through His mercy have been called back, I no longer gamble and my selfishness has made way for a desire to help others.

I could not have done this without the realisation of the truth and long to bring this message to others. I am dedicated to continually changing myself for the better, I have answered the call to follow Him into Theological Study so I can knowledgeably work in Him, aiding people who have experienced hardship as I have.

I can’t put myself and my children in an unsupported place though. StudyLink grant $420 per week, and my rent is $510 per week. I do not qualify for additional support. I live in faith but know the practicalities have to be met. Any financial assistance in this time for the roof to be kept, the food to be nourishing, and the lights to be on would be humbly appreciated.

I don’t like to ask, but God provides practically as well as miraculously.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
