Assistance for a terminal friend in light of a lack of government funding.
Oxford, Canterbury
To add insult to injury, our dear friend Scotty Bowman has been ‘hung out to dry’ (excuse the pun) due to a lack of government funding, for the imperative home alterations necessitated by Scotty’s recent diagnosis of Motor Neurons Disease (unfortunately, there is no cure for Motor Neurons Disease, it is aggressively debilitating and terminal) leaving Scotty and Tracey to foot the bill themselves.
THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE …. so we humbly ask that you dig deep and ‘Give Alittle’ to this epic couple in their time of need, as over the last 10 years especially “They have Given A lot”.
Let’s ALL make this happen!! If there was ever anyone deserving of a couple of miracles, it is Scotty and Tracey.
After being given around two years by his doctors, forcing the closure of their epic non-profit Oxford Bird Rescue Trust (a small non profit shelter dedicated to the rehabilitation for birds of prey) this is the last expense Scotty (and Tracey) need to deal with.
In Scotty’s own words … “we are left to fund our own renovations to put in a wet area for me to wash in once I'm stuck in a wheelchair and access to the bedroom area of our house.”
Many thanks in advance,
Alison Banks and Lisa Maree Bullock
We are dear and loving friends who feel the injustice in all of this, with our dear terminal friend being left to foot the bill for his own needs.
Providing handicapped accessibility, ramps etc., and a wet area for bathing in wheelchair.
